GET ALL THESE MAPS (HIGH RES, GRIDLESS, ALPHA LAYERED) ON MY PATREON FOR $2

Watching shows like Acq Inc. live or Critical Role I just love watching those massive 3D maps of dungeons or castles in action. I always wanted to replicate that experience in my own home games, but the real deal can cost like 1000 dollars and I don’t have that kind of cash laying around. I have built models using other means, but I couldn’t really get the look right that way. I had been drawing maps for some time, experimenting with some perspective before, and so I decided to try and figure out a way to get the look of those model maps in my hand drawn battlemaps. Using a skewed perspective, a sort of combo of isometric and topdown, I could create a usable map that gives the players an actual feel of the design of the building they are playing in. Create multiple stories layered on top of each other.

What is neat is that you can use these maps digitally, but you could in theory also print them out and cut out the floors above ground level and drop them on top. I’m actually thinking of figuring out a way to make it even more intuitive and start working on creating entire cities worth of buildings. If printed in bulk you could get these maps for like a couple of dollars each, instead of the crazy amounts you pay for when getting them 3d modeled.
